Squaring the circle was a problem posed by ancient geometers — the challenge of constructing a square equal in area to a given circle, a problem that eluded the greatest mathematical minds of antiquity and was ultimately proven impossible. The meaning of the phrase, and the spirit of this ring, is to do something that cannot be done. A square emerald, precise and vivid, set inside a circular 14k gold band: the impossible made elegant.
